I needed a cordless that would boost volume as I am gradually losing my hearing. This was the only one I found that fit my needs perfectly.

Just one complaint -- the location of the volume control on the side of the handset. My Mom sometimes inadvertently changes the volume. Aside from that, this is decent phone for the price she is happy with it.
